Strengthening Ties: The German Embassy Visits Refugium Tokyo
On October 7th, we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from the German Embassy to Refugium Tokyo. The visit marked an important step in introducing the newly rebranded identity of our practice — formerly known as Tokyo Central Counseling — and outlining the expanded scope of our services.
During the meeting, we shared insights into our continued commitment to providing high-quality, multilingual support in all matters of mental health. Refugium Tokyo builds on over a decade of trusted cooperation with the German, Austrian, and Swiss embassies, supporting diplomatic staff and assisting in embassy-related emergencies through individual psychotherapy, crisis counseling, and couples therapy.
In addition to these established services, we now offer a comprehensive Corporate Mental Health program, designed to meet the needs of international professionals and organizations in Tokyo. Our new initiatives include seminars and workshops on stress management, burnout prevention, intercultural communication, and leadership development — all tailored to the demands of global work environments.
We are pleased to share that the meeting was very positive, and both sides expressed interest in deepening the collaboration between Refugium Tokyo and the German Embassy in the future.
