Cognitive Distortions

Cognitive distortions are problematic ways to interpret the world around us. They can tremendously mess with our quality of life and should, therefore, whenever possible be identified and dismantled.

First defined by the influential psychotherapist Aaron Beck, they soon became a prominent target in psychotherapeutic treatments.
